While investigating the possibility of conducting an executive search in India, it is important to gain a clear understanding of India’s labor laws. Here are some Indian labor laws to consider.
India's labor laws underwent a major update in the Industrial Disputes Act of 1948. Since then, an additional 45 national laws expand or intersect with the 1948 act, and another 200 state laws control the relationships between the worker and the company. These laws mandate all aspects of employer-employee interaction, such as ensuring that companies keep attendance logs, ten different accounts for overtime wages, and file five types of annual returns.
