Labor Laws in Poland

Hiring executives in Poland should not be taken lightly, and you must be aware of the local laws and norms before starting the search process. While investigating the possibility of conducting an executive search in Poland, it is important to gain a clear understanding of Poland’s labor laws. Here are some Polish labor laws to consider.

General number of working hours is 40 a week (with an average working week of 5 days of 8 hours work). Aggregated weekly working hours and overtime work may not exceed 48 hours a week. Employees are also entitled to paid vacation. Number of days off is 20 in case of employees working less than 10 years (including the duration of education, e.g. 8 additional years in case of higher education degree) and 26 in case of employees working for at least 10 years.
