Here are some United States labor laws to consider.

Average work hours in the United States are 40 hours a week / 8 hours a day. Although the aforementioned work schedule is the traditional number of work hours in the United States and Canada, some businesses offer a variety of ways to incorporate these hours into a given week. For instance, some businesses offer a four-day workweek consisting of 10-hour workdays, offering 40 a total of hours a week while other businesses offer a five-day workweek consisting of 8-hour workdays.
