Major Achievements
•• Set up the SCM department from scratch during hub launch in Dubai. Implemented effective policies and procedures, and created, trained and developed a team of 25 highly successful professionals. • Developed Supply Chain vision, created and implemented contracts, strategic procurement, category management, inventory management, purchasing and supplier management strategies and policies. • Transformed underperforming teams though coaching and mentoring and delivering one on one training programs. • Initiated and led global Supplier Relationship Management and strategic sourcing programs resulting in over US$32.0 M savings within 10 years. • Development and management of department annual budgets. E.g. from US$300K to US$1M for staff, travel, training and spend from $20M to $100M. • Successfully negotiated and implemented complex Regional and Global Contracts for multiple commodities (Instrumentation Tubing/Fittings, Valves, Transmitters & Regulators, Pressure Gauges, Filters, Motors, Pumps, Fabrication, Cables – LV & MV, Tools, Engines/parts and consumables). • Negotiated long terms rebate agreements with major suppliers saving over US$13M in five years. • Negotiated/finalised consignment stock agreements worth US$6.5M with key suppliers on high spend items. • Instrumental in setting-up of World Class State of the Art warehousing facility with complete system and procedures with an Inventory of US$12M in central warehouse and 4000 SKUs. • Managed end to end supply chain management for supply of parts, equipment and auxiliary items for high-profile projects e.g. Olympics 2008, FIFA World Cup 2010, manufacturing 16 gas compression units, manufacturing 6 new land rigs, manufacturing Well Head Control Panels and Chemical Injections Skids. • Remodelled SCM department in line with the business requirement to meet the objectives. • Set up entire SCM team in KSA branch and managed SCM function for Aramco approval. • (Fully conversant with ADNOC and ARAMCO requirements). • Implemented complete ERP system and worldwide MRP systems for global operations that improved material planning and fill accuracy rate. • Reduced SKUs count from 4000 to 2700. • Implemented several Six Sigma concepts resulting in: o Improvement in forecasting from 55% to 95% and increase in availability of parts from 76% to 91%. o Reduced number of POs by 20% and reduced requisition turnaround time from 5 to 3 days.
