Job Description:

Managing Director of a multisite manufacturing company (UK operations of an international group). A major part of this role will be to develop existing and open up new UK markets whilst supporting the wider group sales organisation with the manufacture of cost effective products.
The role will have 7 direct reports (including a site director) and one dotted line.


Job Responsibilities:

Major responsibilitie:

- Managing all commercial and operational activities of the business, including strategy definition and execution, operational management and improvement, sales strategy setting, market potential analysis and definition of value propositions.

- Developing and implementing the short term and long term business plan and approved investment plans focused on growing revenues and bottom line profits

- Translating the Group strategy into tangible and sustainable business growth

- Building new and preserving strong relationships with key customers with the view of growing sales

- For Operations, he/she delegates to the highly experienced site directors.

- Developing detailed strategies to both empower his/her direct reports and motivate them to deliver the commercial and operational success of the respective teams.


Qualifications & Experience:

Ideal Experience:

• A seasoned executive from the industrial sector with five to ten years of managing a P&L of comparable or bigger size (20+M GBP revenue), preferably having worked with a business that focuses on technical products serving a range of industries.

• Proven track record of delivery in a very complex multinational environment in large international organisation.

• Strong, technically oriented sales leadership experience with a track record of sustained business growth through commercial activities

• Engineer by education or similar relevant experience in technical products in order to understand the main technical components of the products and understand customer needs better.

• Experience in building and managing a team and driving business growth through a motivated workforce.

• French language is a `nice to have`.

- To integrate the team with the operations of the organisation, and ensure that everyone is working to the same company goals.
- To Instill a sense of urgency and importance into the key client management processes.

- Should able to work in a collaborative manner, can challenge constructively and engages with key stakeholders such as various business heads internationally, corporate HQ and clients alike.

- Should have the ability to effectively direct, motivate and develop a team of high performing professionals.
- Should be an open and business-like communicator with good contractual skills.
