Turn around of Under performing Steel Fabrication company in Saudi Arabia Initially employed as a consultant, with the brief to provide a turnaround strategy that would refocus the business and return it to profit. The companies’ order book had collapsed to just 260 MT with annual sales of less than 600 MT year making year on year loses for the previous 5 years under the stewardship of the president’s son. My initial focus was, to develop the management team & introducing modern management practices, develop a competitive manufacturing cost base by taking direct responsibility for fabrication & operations, raising productivity through training & implementation of modern work practices. Having re organised the production process I developed a structured marketing campaign to provide a sustainable order book winning over 32,500 MT of new orders with EPC Oil & Gas sector clients such as blue chip clients as ARAMCO SABIC SEPCO responsible for all aspects of P&L returning the business to profit in 18 months delivering net profits of 14%.
