Major Achievements

Currently a partner in Octarine Capital, a venture capital and corporate finance firm operating in South Africa and abroad. Prior to launching Octarine Capital, I co-founded and launched Blue Catalyst Investments (PTY) Ltd. in 2000, a Gauteng Provincial Government initiative that was started within Octarine Capital, and provides the environment and funding for entrepreneurs through leveraging state-of-the-art Internet Technology and a network of private/public sector organizations and individuals. Leveraging my entrepreneurial vision and start-up leadership, I brought the business to full-scale operation within nine months and assumed responsibility for strategy development/implementation, operations management, financial management, budgeting, reporting, information technology, marketing and communications, process design/implementation and HR. I held an operational and legal compliance advisory role and an advisory Board seat, Investment Committee seat and EXCO seat, and I also served as a catalyst for start-up, business, and commercialization mentoring.
