Major Achievements

 Experienced (30+ years) financial professional working across Western and Eastern Europe. Areas of focus include: financial reporting, controlling, accounts payable, and accounting policy and procedure development and implementation.  For several clients, has been responsible for reorganizing their finance function either in country or into a shared service environment. Developed and implemented the financial administration procedures.  Responsible for the month, quarter and year end reporting, including the statutory reporting, for four countries, with a total of four plants and about 2000 employees and implemented KPIs. Optimized the communication between the shared service centers and the plants.  Responsible for the daily work of the Accounts Payable department (37 FTEs) for a global postal and logistics firm. Assisted in the month, quarter and year end reporting and VAT related issues.  As the Supervisor of Finance and Administration for a publishing firm, was involved with IFRS compliance, and conversion of Dutch GAAP to IFRS.  Was the Project Leader for the SAP upgrade and trouble shoot and trained the finance team. Had a previous role in implementing Navision.  Was a project member of the internal control/Sox team that implemented and then standardized the control framework across France, Germany, Belgium and Poland.  Reconciled the European intercompany accounts as the Project Leaders for an international manufacture of brakes for commercial vehicles.
