Major Achievements

I led the development of a cutting edge, unique and powerful real-time performance management model, using AI and advanced analytical solutions to fully automatize continuous improvement strategies in the industry. Using that model for about 5 years, I boosted total production by more than 75% from 351,000 tons in 2002 to 609,000 tons in 2008, resulting in circa 45% of international market share and drove more than 220% increase in EBITDA from €43M in 2002 to €138M in 2008 by achieving maximum performance across all rolling mills in Europe. I also created and patented a new rolling technique to significantly improve roll consumption, yield and quality assurance across technical and financial developments. During 4 years, I revitalised the complete management model and technical knowledge for two hot-rolling mills at Zenica (BiH) resulting in a return to positive financial performance. I implemented a lean manufacturing process involving the entire manufacturing community over 5 year, relocating more than 30 Turning Lathes and Milling Centres to create three “product dedicated” manufacturing lines, leading to a 35% improvement of manufacturing costs and a 40% reduction of manufacturing lead time.
