Major Achievements

Provided the legal department with high level legal support and administrative services, I work closely with MHS Executives in an advisory capacity for legal and administrative matters. I have also served as a Civil Division Supervisor at the US Attorney’s Office in Miami and in San Antonio. My responsibility included oversight of the work of ten Legal Assistants and three students. I was also given the opportunity to restructure and transform a section in the Civil Division due to low staff morale and productivity. The challenge allowed me to engage with the incumbent staff and members of management to identify the underlying issues and craft a strategy for improvement which centered primarily on training the support staff to build and refine their skillset. The approach I implemented resulted in great success as the staff responded positively to their empowerment and the section reaped the rewards of having an efficient workforce.
