The first global business alliance between a global bank and a global payment system (Feb 2004). This alliance (over 50 billion USD turnover) plans to increase the annual volume at this bank by 500% until 2008. Implementation of the first world-wide debit card, Maestro (POS and ATM) and the first European debit card, edc, by European issuing banks (11 Dutch banks) : 11 million cardholders in 1995 to +500 millon cardholders in 2003.
